Graham Stuart has been the Member of Parliament for Beverley & Holderness for 17 years, and is Minister of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Graham is committed to working hard for his constituents and ensuring they have a champion locally, and in Westminster.
Particular areas of interest are rural crime, championing “Healthy Withernsea”; rural broadband; education funding; dentistry; NHS services at Withernsea and Hornsea; Beverley to York rail; H2H Saltend and Zero Carbon Humber; devolution; Levelling Up; CADEY Campaign.
About the role:
This is a key role in the Parliamentary team, planning and delivering communications to support Graham’s work on behalf of his constituents.
The postholder will develop communications strategies, plans and campaigns that enhance and assist the delivery of Graham’s objectives over the long term.
The role requires someone able to travel to the constituency on an ad hoc basis and be committed to building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and journalists locally.
About you:
You will:
Be an experienced communications professional, have an excellent writing style and a flair for identifying communications opportunities, with an ability to develop engaging content across different channels.
Have a good understanding of the issues affecting the constituency and Graham’s campaigns, enabling you to horizon-scan and identify opportunities and risks to inform your communications strategy.
Provide support and research solutions on national and local issues to the casework team, and work closely with Graham and all members of the team to communicate and share information and objectives.
