Hive are delighted to offer comprehensive training to Parliamentary staff, to provide them with the essential tools and training they need to progress casework and respond to constituents effectively. This session complements topic-based sessions run by the House of Commons, and is a practical introduction to using Caseworker and being a Caseworker.
This 4 hour (remote) session provides an introduction to the role of a caseworker, from handling and processing confidential data, prioritising incoming correspondence, signposting constituents to appropriate authorities and practical steps in making the most of your casework management software.
The course will cover:
- Processing incoming casework and identifying what to prioritise
- Triaging and the cycle of casework
- Working with Government Departments, agencies and stakeholders
- Building a database of useful local contacts to help with casework
- Data protection, confidentiality and safeguarding
- Using Casework Management Software (Specifically, Elected Technologies Caseworker.MP)
Training will be delivered virtually, by an experienced Parliamentary Office Manager, who knows what it takes to deliver excellent service to constituents. This training programme has been designed to provide an introduction for Caseworkers and other Parliamentary Staff, and our team’s extensive knowledge of Parliament will ensure we are able to support new staff with any issues or concerns they have.
